Fix-Wolansky appears on WHL Radio Show with Jon Keen: Episode 7

Episode Seven of the WHL Radio Show with Jon Keen features another player set to suit up for Team WHL in next week’s 2018 CIBC Canada Russia series. A strong start for Edmonton Oil Kings captain Trey Fix-Wolansky (Columbus Blue Jackets) has earned the 19-year-old play-maker an invite. He’ll be our guest.

The WHL has awarded a record 386 WHL graduate players with WHL Scholarships for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. It’s the highest total in WHL history as the program continues to grow. WHL Commissioner Ron Robison joins us to break down those numbers.

#BroncosStrong night is coming to Swift Current and Humboldt this weekend. The event will see both teams join forces to take time to pause and reflect on tragedies that have impacted them so deeply. Hear from both coaches Dean Brockman and Nathan Oystrick ahead of the special night.

Red Deer Rebels overage forward Brandon Hagel has signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. Hear his story after being passed over in the WHL Bantam Draft.

Finally, Red Deer Rebels defenceman Alexander Alexeyev has been named the WHL On The Run Player of the Week after putting up eight points in four games to go along with a +10 rating.  He’ll also represent Team Russia in the 2018 Canada Russia Series November 5th & 6th in Kamloops and Vancouver. He’ll be our guest.
