GAME DAY: Oil Kings Look to Solve the Raiders Tonight in P.A.

Prince Albert, SK – The Oil Kings continue their five game road trip with a four game series in the East division this week.  Tonight will be a match up between the East Division leading Prince Albert Raiders and the Eastern Conference leading Oil Kings.  

This game is the fourth and final meeting between these two clubs this regular season as the Oil Kings will be looking for their first win over the Raiders this year.  Edmonton has a dissappointing 0-2-1-0 record against the Raiders this season.  Edmonton posted a 4-0-0-0 record over the Raiders last season and have an overall record of 12-3-2-2 vs Prince Albert over the last five seasons.

This past weekend the Oil Kings posted back to back shutouts as they extended their winning streak to eight. Edmonton holds an 11 point lead over the Calgary Hitmen for first place in the WHL Eastern Conference standings. The Oil Kings are currently on an eight game winning streak – the longest in the WHL.

Saskatchwan native Dylan Wruck has had a hot stick as of late with two goals and nine assists in his last five games. Wruck is currently second in team scoring with 15 goals and 49 assists in 50 games this season. Phoenix Coyotes 2012 1st round draft pick Henrik Samuelsson is the Oil Kings scoring leader with 65 points and leads the team with 27 goals and three shorthanded goals. In his last eight games, Samuelsson has posted 16 points (5G, 11A). At 11th in the WHL he leads the four Oil Kings currently in the WHL Top 20 scorers.
