Oil Kings Announce 2017 Pre-Season Schedule

Coming off of the inaugural season at Rogers Place that saw the Edmonton Oil Kings compile three sellouts and a staggering total of 340,605 fans in attendance to lead the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), the team announced their 2017 pre-season schedule today. Edmonton will host two games for the first time at the Downtown Community Arena as well as travel to Red Deer and Calgary for three games.

The Oil Kings will play their two home pre-season games at the Downtown Community Arena, attached to Rogers Place, squaring off Sunday, September 10 (4:00 PM MT) against the Calgary Hitmen and Saturday, September 16 (7:00 PM MT) against the Saskatoon Blades. All ticket information and on-sale dates for these two home games will be released in August.

Edmonton will first hit the road for three exhibition contests; playing the Prince George Cougars on Friday, September 1 (3:00 PM MT) and the Red Deer Rebels the following day at 7:00 PM MT. Both games will be at the Enmax Centrium in Red Deer as part of their annual pre-season tournament. The Oil Kings will then visit the Hitmen on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 PM MT.
