Oil Kings Fall 3-1 to Hitmen

The Edmonton Oil Kings threw 33 shots on starting Calgary Hitmen goaltender Matthew Armitage, but could not solve him until 45 seconds remaining in the game in a 3-1 loss Sunday afternoon at the Downtown Community Arena in Rogers Place.

Thanks to goals by Bryce Bader and Justyn Gurney, the Hitmen opened a 2-0 lead. In the final minute with Travis Child pulled for the extra attacker, Andrei Pavlenko scored drawing the Oil Kings to within one. However Jake Kryski answered back 15 seconds later ending the game and allowing Calgary to grab both exhibition games this weekend over Edmonton.
