Oil Kings Keep Crushing Ice

Cranbrook, BC – Laurent Brossoit made 32 saves to help guide the Oil Kings to a 3-1 win over the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook on Wednesday night. T.J. Foster, Tyler Maxwell and Jordan Peddle tallied for the Oil Kings in the victory. Foster’s 25th of the season matches his career high from last season. Maxwell’s 37th was his eight game winner of the year and the 133rd goal of his career.

Brossoit had a brilliant night between the pipes for the Oil Kings. His shutout was broken with just under three minutes left on a 5 on 3 power play. Despite missing out on a Oil Kings record breaking fourth shutout he continues to add to his own franchise record with 36 wins this season. Edmonton improved their record to 5-0-0-0 on the year against Kootenay.
