Oil Kings Score Six Third Period Goals in 8-7 Loss to Giants

The Oil Kings continued their five-game road trip on Sunday afternoon as they visited the Vancouver Giants at the Langely Events Centre in an exciting high-scoring affair.

BOX SCORE

Mid-way through the third frame the Oil Kings would score six straight goals to make it 8-7 but time would wind down keeping the Oil Kings from completing the comeback.

Colton Kehler would put Edmonton within one with six seconds remaining in the game. Davis Koch and Tomas Soustal would pick up the helpers on the play.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:

Tomas Soustal would lead the Oil Kings in points at the end of this high scoring matchup as he picked up one goal and four assists during the game.

UNSUNG HERO OF THE GAME:

Ty Gerla opened the scoring for the Oil Kings and would continue to work hard offensively through 60 minutes.
