Oil Kings Sign Pelletier

Edmonton Oil Kings General Manager Randy Hansch announced today the team has signed forward Raphael Pelletier to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement.

Pelletier was selected by the Oil Kings in the 3rd round, 48th overall in the 2017 WHL Draft. The Legal, AB native has 11 points (2G, 9A) in 15 games this season with the Northern Alberta Elite 15s (CSSHL). He also recently represented Team Alberta in the WHL Cup scoring once and adding two assists in five games.

“We are pleased to announce Raphael’s signing,” said Hansch. “He’s a versatile player that can contribute offensively along with a responsible two-way game.”

Last year Pelletier recorded 52 points (23G, 29A) in 36 games with the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers (Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League). In the playoffs he put up 11 goals and four assists in 14 games helping his team to win the AMBHL.
