OIL KINGS VS. COUGARS:  This weekend’s matchups against the Cougars will be the final two meetings this season between the two clubs. Last month the Oil Kings took round one with a thrilling 5-4 shootout win thanks to Tomas Soustal’s SO winner. Travis Child had the win. Last night PG evened things up with a 5-1 win thanks to a pair of goals from Brogan O’Brien.

CHILD APPROACHES 100: Oil Kings goaltender Travis Child will be playing career WHL game 100 when he starts next. The veteran netminder has 99 career games with a career 31-34-4-5 record.

MCLEOD RETURNS: Defenceman Wyatt McLeod returned from injury last night after missing the previous month. The last game he played? Against the Cougars at Rogers Place in fact. The Dawson Creek, BC native has two assists this season in 13 games.

UP NEXT: The Oil Kings will head back to Edmonton and prepare for a game vs Kootenay on Nov. 24.
