LAST GAME:  The Oil Kings hosted their first ever Star Wars Night when the Saskatoon Blades came to town. It was a fierce 2-2 battle late when the Blades snuck in the winning goal with nine seconds left in the game to win 3-2.

OIL KINGS VS. ROYALS:  Tonight’s matchup against the Royals is the second meeting this season. Last month Victoria won 3-2 in OT at Rogers Place. Ty Gerla and Colton Kehler has the goals and Tomas Soustal had a pair of helpers. Travis Child made 40 stops in the OTL.

NEIGHBOURhood WATCH: Oil Kings 2017 first-round draft pick, Jake Neighbours, is 2nd on team scoring (with the Calgary Buffaloes – AMHL) and T-5th in league scoring this season with 17 points (7G, 10A).

ROBERTSON JOINS TEAM CANADA: Defenceman Matthew Robertson was one of 66 players named to Team Canada for the World U-17 Hockey Challenge that is currently running in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, BC. He will be on Team Black and is an alternate captain.

UP NEXT: The Oil Kings will jump on the ferry over to Vancouver where they face off against the Giants on Sunday at 4pm PT. They will also have games in Kelowna (November 14) and PG (November 17 & 18).
