Riley Kieser among 16 WHL alumni named to Canada West All-Star & All-Rookie Teams

Edmonton Oil Kings alumnus Riley Kieser (2013-14) was one of 16 WHL alumni named to Canada West All-Star and All-Rookie teams.

Kieser, a member of the Alberta Golden Bears from Sherwood Park, AB, was named to the Second All-Star team. The Golden Bears led the way with six players acknowledged, while the Calgary Dinos were a close second with five.

Both teams return to action this weekend after first round playoff byes, with the Golden Bears and Dinos going toe to toe, while the Saskatchewan Huskies and Mount Royal Cougars will go head to head.

 

The conference major awards will be announced on Wednesday, February 27 in advance of the Canada West Final, which gets underway Friday, March 1.
