Warriors Double Up Oil Kings 4-2

The Edmonton Oil Kings played some comeback hockey tonight in Moose Jaw but were stopped short by a solid Warriors squad. After spotting the Warriors a 3-0 lead, the Oil Kings got goals from Colton Kehler and Kobe Mohr to cut the lead to 3-2 but a Tanner Jeannot late goal gave Moose Jaw the 4-2 win.

The Oil Kings were on the man advantage in the second period and gave up a 2-on-1 but Travis Child stones Brett Howden keeping the score 1-0 for Moose Jaw.

Ty Gerla carries the puck in the attacking zone and as he dishes it off, Matthew Benson steps up and levels Gerla, but the young forward immediately bounces back up and into the play.

TURNING POINT:

Tanner Jeannot would come off the bench fresh and snap home his 2nd of the season with just over 2:00 to play in the game giving the Warriors a 4-2 lead.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:

Warrior’s Noah Gregor scores two and adds a helper in the 4-2 win.

Edmonton’s Colton Kehler had a goal and an assist and 3 shots on net for the Oil Kings.
