CHL Import Draft scheduled for June 27 at 9:00 AM MT

The 28th annual CHL Import Draft is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 27 at 9:00 AM MT.

The Edmonton Oil Kings have the 52nd and 112th overall picks, before passes.

The two-round draft will take place online with the order of selection rotating through each of the CHL’s three Leagues (WHL, OHL, QMJHL). Within each League, an inverse order of final regular season standings from the 2018-19 season will be used.

The Swift Current Broncos hold the first overall pick, followed by the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs at number two and the QMJHL’s Acadie-Bathurst Titan at number three.

Each CHL team is permitted to dress and play a maximum of two import players each season who are selected annually through the CHL Import Draft.
