It’s almost time for the Oil Kings 2018 Teddy Bear Toss!

It’s one of the most anticipated games of the year as the Edmonton Oil Kings host the Kamloops Blazers for their annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by The Brick at Rogers Place on Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 PM MT!

For the 12th straight season, fans are asked to show their holiday spirit by bringing a new or gently-loved teddy bear to throw onto the ice when the Oil Kings score their first goal of the game.

All bears collected will be donated to 630 CHED Santas Anonymous and gifted to children in the Greater Edmonton Area just in time for the holidays.

But don’t forget – to ensure your stuffed toy remains cute and able to be cuddled, please package them in a clear plastic bag prior to coming to the game. If you forget, bags will be offered upon entry.

The Oil Kings will once again sport commemorative jerseys for the special game, which will be auctioned off via silent auction during the game to the left of the main entrance near Section 102.

Tickets to the game start at just $20 and are selling fast, but a limited number are still available. Fans can purchase tickets online at, or by calling our Ticket Services team at 780-414-GOAL (4625).

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Rogers Place Box Office during regular business hours; Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM MT, or during Oilers/Oil Kings Games.

Last year, a record 14,122 bears were thrown to the ice when Davis Koch scored the Oil Kings first goal of the game just 1:07 into the first period, and we’re hoping our fans can help us once again set a new Teddy Bear record!

Don’t miss one of the most paws-itively fun games of the season on Saturday, December 8 – see you at the Teddy Bear Toss!
